The BCS Reaper/Binder enables you to harvest small grains yourself, without the need to hire a custom harvester. If you’re harvesting grain manually, this machine will save you significant time.
The Reaper/Binder is useful for any crop that needs to be cut and tied into bundles, including small grains, sesame, lavender, and common reeds. It cuts, bundles, and ties the crop in a single pass.
Description
The Model 622 Reaper/Binder is new in North America for 2023 but has been sold and used in other parts of the world for many years.
Powered by a Honda GX390 engine, the reaper/binder offers three forward working speeds of 3.4, 4.6, and 6.2 MPH for efficient operation. Additionally, it features a reverse speed and a higher transport speed of 8.8 MPH, allowing for quick relocation of the machine to and from your work area.
A differential drive system with lockout and individual wheel brakes provides for a tight turning radius while also enabling you to have good control on nearly any type of terrain.
A 77-pound counterweight that comes with the reaper/binder can be moved to any of 5 positions, enabling you to work uphill, downhill, or in dry or muddy conditions.
The reaper/binder is intended for use with crops that are between 14 and 65 inches tall. The 56-inch wide sickle bar cuts crops 6.75 inches above the ground. The reaper/binder ties the bundles approximately 12 inches above the point where they were cut. Sheaves (bundles) are tied and then dropped parallel to the row that the equipment is harvesting.
Please note that this is a dedicated reaper/binder. It does not accept interchangeable attachments.
